What We Publish The Jet Fuel Review is, above all, looking for quality in writing. Take care in sending us what you think is the best of your work, whether it be in poetry, prose, non-fiction, or artwork. Please refer to the Submission Guidelines page for more information on length of submissions and more.
General Notes about Taste While there are specific qualities we look for in each genre, there are some general, overarching qualifications to keep in mind when sending your work to Jet Fuel Review. We’re looking for all work sent to us to have an individual, unique aesthetic. In other words, your work should be something that can only come from you, that stems from who you are and what you believe. We’re looking for work that articulates itself well and says something interesting in its verses, metaphors, or images. In terms of written work, Jet Fuel Review is looking for authors who take risks with language and who write linguistically interesting pieces. When it comes to art, we expect the same kind of risk-taking when it comes to color, design, and technique. We are also striving for variety in JFR, so we’d like to publish all different genres of writing, all different styles of artwork, and all different approaches to poetry.
