Bríd Moynahan is a graduate of the Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork. She loves the richness achieved by the process of printing. While studying at the Crawford she was a young single mother, she read a lot of fairy tales at that time which influenced her practice; she repurposed these characters for her art and has continued to do this with real-life events, places, people and animals. Her key themes are childhood, coming of age, relationships and loss.
