I work in collage for its accessibility—I can use whatever I find around my house—and I don’t have to be the best painter or the best draftsman to create interesting pieces. For this series I wanted to work with black paper and cut outs from an anatomy book. Right now, I am in an exploratory state, working with different materials/mediums as well as subject matter. The themes I generally touch on are trauma, memory, and immigration.
