Artist Statement

​JUNG SIWON is a junior at Seoul Scholars International. Her work explores the pressures individuals face within structured, rule-based societies, and the possibility of living according to one’s own values rather than conforming to external expectations. Her practice is quiet yet meticulous, capturing subtle emotional shifts and the tension between the self and society. SIWON works across various mediums—including painting, sculpture, photography, and design—as she continues to expand her visual language and deepen her exploration of autonomy, identity, and the social systems that shape human behavior.
