The Shared Uncertainty of Experience: Linocut print on paper
Artist Statement
Through my art, I delve into the subtleties of human relationships with other humans, nature, and society. I strive to portray the warmth I feel through the communities around me through my art, focusing on how intimate connections between everything in the world can craft this warmth. As a developing artist, I open myself up to exploring diverse concepts, which sometimes could make my artworks seem separate and random. Nonetheless, I believe my artworks are all comprehensive reflections of my fluid worldview.
-- My name is Na Yoon Amelia Cha-Ryu, and I’m a high school junior based in South Korea. I attend an international school which follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, opening students like myself to pursue their subjects of interest, such as the arts and humanities. Although my interest in art was first sparked by animation and comics, I’ve grown to be more open to different forms and mediums of fine arts, linguistic arts and musical arts to express myself
