Artist statement: This sculpture was inspired by the musical Phantom of the Opera. The sculpture is completely made out of paper giving it a delicate and feminine look. The dress is intended to give a ghostly and almost phantom like feel to audiences. Being only on a dress form, and the proportions of the dress being human sized, I believe the viewers can sense the type of person who may have worn the dress, and they can create their own interpretation from it.
