Taylor Wang

Artist Statement

Taylor Wang is an emerging artist in Seattle whose work reflects the unique experiences she has gained in adolescence. Wang hopes to use her art as a vessel to express the fear and uncertainty of growing up as part of an interconnected, socially conscious generation. Through art, she creates open conversation across generations about mental health, identity, and contemporary issues.

Taylor Wang is an artist and activist based in Seattle. When Wang was 15, Wang co-founded the nonprofit Student Art Spaces to bridge the gap for underserved artists in her area. Beyond that, you can find Wang working on her latest oil painting at the studio or sketching new ideas in her notebook. She hopes to foster a sense of community wherever she goes, promoting values of inclusivity and honesty.
